In 2015, the company Histalim gave me a challenge to take up: Create in color works between Art and Sciences.

From their very high resolution histological images, I tried to give my vision of this hidden reality to our primal senses.

For that, I have watched these images for a long time. 

Little by little, I realized that a very specific geometry was found at different scales. Soft and fractal geometry.

However, no artistic tools, to this day, existed to represent this fundamental reality.

I have therefore sought and developed, at the cost of many attempts, a process which reconciles the sensible and the natural.

7 large artworks were created from this work.

Faced with them, I also understood that Painting could generate a Reality where the place of the gaze is questioned, micro, macro, detail, together, became illusory concepts.

At this stage, the very material of the painting became subject to observation. Another method was therefore invented with my friend Emmanuel Dauchy, to give to see the painting in its depth by the video.

Thus the series "Blades" is a global work of the gaze and the threshold of the observable Reality.

Since its creation and inauguration at the Musée Fabre in Montpellier, the scientists of Histalim and the artistic world have associated it with the BioART movement .

En 2015, la société Histalim m'a donné un défi à relever: Créer en couleur des oeuvres entre Art et Sciences.

A partir de leur images histologiques à très hautes résolution, j'ai essayé de donner ma vision de cette réalité inaccessible à nos sens a priori.

Pour cela, j'ai observé, longtemps, ces images.

Peu à peu, j'ai compris qu'une géométrie très spécifique se retrouvait à différentes échelles. Une géométrie molle et fractale.

Cependant, aucune technique picturale, à ce jour, n'existait pour représenter ce Réel fondamental. 

J'ai donc cherché et mis au point, au prix de nombreuses tentatives, un procédé qui concilie le sensible et le Naturel.

7 grands formats sont nés de ce travail.

Face à eux, j'ai compris également que la Peinture pouvait générer une Réalité où l'endroit du regard est questionné, micro, macro, détail, ensemble, devenaient des concepts illusoires.

A ce stade, la matière même du tableau devenait sujet d'observation. Un autre procédé fut donc inventé avec mon ami Emmanuel Dauchy, pour donner à voir le tableau dans son tréfond grâce à la vidéo.

Ainsi la série "Lames" est une oeuvre globale du Regard et du seuil de la Réalité observable.

Dès sa création et son inauguration au Musée Fabre à Montpellier, les scientifiques d'Histalim et le milieu artistique l'ont associé au mouvement BioART.
